New York City review - April 2026
New York City will always hold a special place in my heart. I lived there for ten years, so taking my kids back during their spring break wasn't just another vacation. It was an opportunity to share the city that shaped so many memories for me and let them experience why I still love it today.
We spent five days exploring the best of Manhattan while staying in the heart of Times Square. The location made it easy to walk, ride the subway, and take in the energy that makes New York unlike anywhere else.
One of our favorite experiences was biking through Central Park. It's one of the best ways to see the park, and my kids loved exploring the winding paths, bridges, and open spaces. We also visited the American Museum of Natural History, where we easily spent hours exploring everything from dinosaurs to space exhibits.
Downtown, we admired the stunning architecture of the Oculus, walked the beautiful High Line, and visited Vessel at Hudson Yards. Mercer Labs was another unexpected highlight. Its immersive exhibits combine art, technology, and music into an experience that's fun for both kids and adults.
Of course, we couldn't visit New York without seeing the Statue of Liberty. Instead of booking a cruise, we hopped on the free Staten Island Ferry, which offers fantastic views of Lady Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. It's one of the city's best free attractions and something I recommend to every first-time visitor.
We also enjoyed relaxing in Bryant Park, exploring the historic New York Public Library, visiting Grand Central Terminal, and taking in the incredible views from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. The panoramic skyline views alone make it worth the visit.
One evening, we headed to Greenwich Village for dinner at one of my favorite Indian restaurants, a longtime favorite of John F. Kennedy Jr. Walking through the Village afterward reminded me why I loved living in New York. The tree-lined streets and neighborhood charm feel like a completely different world from the excitement of Times Square.
Watching my kids experience New York through fresh eyes made this trip incredibly special. From famous landmarks to hidden gems, every day offered something new to discover. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, New York City has a way of making you fall in love with it all over again. I know we'll be back.

Dominican Republic, Punta Cana review - Feb/March 2026 - Hard Rock Hotel
My recent stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana was extra special because it was the host resort for InteleQuest 2026, InteleTravel's annual conference. It was an incredible week of networking, supplier training, and learning from some of the best in the travel industry. One of the biggest highlights for me was receiving the Triple Pinnacle Award once again for achieving more than $750,000 in annual sales. Celebrating that milestone with fellow advisors made the experience even more memorable.
Beyond the conference, I had the opportunity to fully experience everything this massive all-inclusive resort has to offer, and it's easy to see why it's one of the most popular resorts in the Dominican Republic.
The Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana truly feels like its own destination. With 13 pools spread throughout the property, a beautiful stretch of white sand beach, a championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, a full-service Rock Spa®, and one of the largest casinos in the Caribbean, there's never a shortage of things to do. Guests can also enjoy mini golf, laser tag, an escape room, an arcade, bowling, a kids club, a teen lounge, nightly entertainment, live music, and exciting shows that keep the resort buzzing from morning until late at night.
Dining is another standout feature. The resort offers an impressive variety of restaurants, making it easy to enjoy something different every day. From upscale steakhouses and fresh seafood to Italian, Asian, Brazilian, Mexican, and Mediterranean cuisine, there's something for every taste. Casual cafés, pizza, burgers, ice cream, and late-night dining options ensure you're never far from a great meal or snack. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a fun family meal, the dining options consistently deliver.
The spacious suites are comfortable and well-appointed, many featuring hydro spa tubs, furnished balconies, and thoughtful amenities that make it easy to relax after a full day of activities. Even with the size of the property, transportation is convenient thanks to the continuous golf cart shuttles that run throughout the resort.
After spending several days exploring the resort firsthand, I can confidently recommend Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana to families, couples, groups, and incentive travelers looking for an all-inclusive vacation with something for everyone. Whether you're planning a relaxing beach escape, a destination celebration, or a fun-filled family vacation, this resort offers an unforgettable experience from the moment you arrive.

JOIA Bavaro resort - September 2025
There's no better way to recommend a resort than by experiencing it firsthand, and that's exactly why I value supplier familiarization trips. I recently had the opportunity to join one hosted by ALG Vacations, one of my preferred travel partners, to experience several of Punta Cana's most popular all-inclusive resorts. Trips like these allow me to personally evaluate the accommodations, dining, service, and overall guest experience so I can confidently match my clients with the right vacation.
During the trip, I stayed at JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar, an adults-only, luxury all-inclusive resort that delivers an elevated and relaxing Caribbean escape. The resort offers spacious suites, personalized butler service, beautifully landscaped grounds, multiple pools, and direct access to Bávaro Beach. Guests can enjoy a variety of gourmet restaurants, premium cocktails, a full-service spa, fitness center, water sports, nightly entertainment, and access to the neighboring Iberostar resorts for even more dining and activity options. The atmosphere is peaceful and sophisticated, making it an excellent choice for couples, honeymooners, and anyone looking for a luxurious beachfront getaway.
In addition to experiencing JOIA Bávaro, I toured several other resorts to better understand the unique experience each one offers.
Dreams Flora Punta Cana stood out as a beautiful family-friendly resort with a fresh, modern feel. It features multiple pools, a water park, spacious accommodations, excellent dining options, and activities for guests of all ages. It's a fantastic option for families, destination weddings, and multi-generational vacations.
RIU Palace Punta Cana offers a lively atmosphere with beautiful beachfront accommodations, several restaurants and bars, daily entertainment, and access to RIU's popular Splash Water World. It's an excellent choice for travelers looking for great value, plenty of activities, and a fun social atmosphere.
Sunscape Punta Cana is a wonderful option for families seeking an affordable all-inclusive vacation without sacrificing amenities. With kid-friendly pools, organized activities, entertainment, multiple restaurants, and a relaxed beachfront setting, it provides an enjoyable experience for guests of every age.
One of the greatest benefits of these educational trips is seeing the differences that photos simply can't capture. Walking the beaches, sampling the restaurants, exploring the rooms, and experiencing the service firsthand allows me to provide honest recommendations based on each client's travel style, budget, and vacation goals.
As a travel advisor, I believe firsthand experience is one of the most valuable tools I can offer my clients. Whether you're looking for a romantic adults-only escape, a fun-filled family vacation, or the perfect destination for a celebration, I can help you choose the resort that's the best fit. Visiting these properties in person gave me valuable insight that I look forward to sharing with future travelers planning their own Punta Cana getaway.

Amawaterways review - Nov 2025
One of the greatest parts of being a travel advisor is experiencing destinations the same way my clients do, and my journey along the Rhine River with AmaWaterways was one I'll never forget. This sailing was part of InteleTravel's River Cruise Symposium, where advisors from around the country gathered to learn more about the growing world of luxury river cruising while experiencing it firsthand.
From the moment I stepped onboard, it was clear why AmaWaterways is considered one of the premier river cruise lines. The service was exceptional, the ship was beautifully designed, and every detail was carefully thought out. The intimate size of the ship created a welcoming atmosphere where the crew quickly learned our names and made every guest feel at home.
One of the highlights of the Rhine River itinerary is the incredible variety of destinations. We sailed through some of Europe's most picturesque landscapes, passing vineyard-covered hillsides, medieval castles, charming villages, and storybook towns. Ports of call included beautiful cities and villages throughout Germany, France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, each offering its own unique history, architecture, culture, and local cuisine. Whether strolling through centuries-old town squares, visiting historic cathedrals, exploring local markets, or simply enjoying a café along the river, every stop felt like stepping into a postcard.
The dining experience onboard was equally impressive. Every meal was beautifully prepared using fresh, locally inspired ingredients paired with excellent wines from the regions we visited. Breakfast and lunch featured generous buffets along with made-to-order selections, while dinner offered elegant multi-course meals that rival many fine dining restaurants on land. One evening, guests also have the opportunity to dine at The Chef's Table, an intimate specialty restaurant that delivers a carefully curated tasting menu in an unforgettable setting.
Beyond the exceptional food and service, AmaWaterways offers enriching experiences both onboard and ashore. Daily guided excursions are included and range from leisurely walking tours to active bike rides and hikes, allowing guests to explore each destination at their own pace. Evenings onboard feature local entertainment, regional wine tastings, informative presentations, and plenty of opportunities to relax on the Sun Deck while watching Europe's breathtaking scenery drift by.
The River Cruise Symposium gave us valuable insight into what makes river cruising so different from traditional ocean cruises. We learned about itinerary planning, shore excursions, ship design, and the personalized experience that has made river cruising one of the fastest-growing segments of luxury travel. Experiencing it firsthand gave me a much deeper appreciation for everything AmaWaterways offers.

MSC Seashore review - October 2025
Some of the most valuable education happens outside of a classroom. My recent sailing aboard MSC Seashore combined professional development with firsthand experience, giving me an even deeper understanding of what this incredible cruise line offers. The voyage was part of InteleTravel's exclusive Pinnacle Conference, an invitation-only event for the company's top-performing advisors. Spending time with cruise executives, travel suppliers, and fellow elite advisors gave me valuable insight that directly benefits the clients I serve.
During the conference, we participated in training sessions with suppliers, explored every corner of the ship, and learned about the newest products, itineraries, and onboard experiences. Seeing it all in person allows me to confidently recommend the right cruise based on each client's travel style, budget, and vacation goals.
MSC Seashore offers something for everyone. Guests can enjoy multiple pools, exciting water slides, a beautiful spa, live entertainment, specialty restaurants, shopping, and activities for families, couples, and groups. The ship blends modern European style with a fun, energetic atmosphere while still offering plenty of places to relax.
Our itinerary included the Bahamas and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC's breathtaking private island. With crystal-clear water, white sand beaches, snorkeling, beach bars, and plenty of space to unwind, Ocean Cay was one of the highlights of the cruise and a destination I'd happily visit again.
One of my favorite experiences was touring the MSC Yacht Club, the ship's exclusive luxury enclave. From private dining and dedicated pool areas to butler service and personalized attention, it offers an elevated experience for travelers who want extra privacy and premium service while still enjoying everything the ship has to offer.
The Pinnacle Conference reminded me why firsthand experience is so important. Every cruise line is different, and there's no substitute for seeing it through the eyes of a guest. After sailing aboard MSC Seashore, I left with a greater appreciation for the brand and even more knowledge to help my clients choose the perfect cruise for their next vacation.

London & Paris review - July 2025:
Some trips are about checking destinations off a list, while others are about creating memories that last a lifetime. My 7-day London and Paris adventure with my daughter was one of those unforgettable experiences. It was her first time visiting Europe, and I loved being able to share two cities that I adore while also visiting family in Paris. We started our journey in London before taking the train through the beautiful countryside to Paris, making the travel between these two incredible cities part of the experience.
Our time in London was filled with history, culture, and unforgettable moments. We toured Buckingham Palace, walked through some of the city's most iconic areas, and experienced the magic of seeing Wicked on the West End. One of the highlights was a day trip to Highclere Castle, the real-life setting of Downton Abbey. Exploring the beautiful estate, gardens, and rooms filled with history was an incredible experience and a must-do for any fan of the show or anyone who loves English heritage.
After several days exploring London, we boarded the train to Paris. The journey was easy and enjoyable, offering a relaxing way to transition between two amazing destinations. Arriving in Paris felt like stepping into a postcard, and sharing it with my daughter made it even more special.
Our Paris adventure included some of the city's most iconic experiences. We visited the Eiffel Tower, explored the charming streets of Montmartre, enjoyed shopping, and soaked in the atmosphere of one of the world's most beautiful cities. We also spent time at the Palace of Versailles, walking through the grand halls, exploring the gardens, and learning more about the incredible history behind this famous royal residence.
One of our more unique Paris experiences was visiting the wax museum, which was a fun addition to our sightseeing and gave us a chance to see a different side of the city. Beyond the famous landmarks, some of my favorite moments were simply walking the streets, enjoying local cafés, and experiencing everyday Parisian life.
Traveling with my daughter allowed us to experience Europe in a completely new way. Seeing her excitement as she discovered these destinations for the first time reminded me why travel is so meaningful. London and Paris each offer something special, from royal history and iconic landmarks to incredible food, shopping, and culture.
This trip was the perfect combination of adventure, connection, and quality time together. Whether you're planning a first European vacation, a mother-daughter getaway, or a multi-city adventure, London and Paris make an unforgettable pairing that I would recommend again and again.

Beaches Turks & Caicos review - May 2025:
The best way to recommend a resort is to experience it firsthand, and I was honored to be invited by Sandals Resorts to stay at and tour Beaches Turks & Caicos. As a travel advisor, these opportunities allow me to truly understand the guest experience and confidently match my clients with the perfect vacation.
Located on the breathtaking Grace Bay Beach, Beaches Turks & Caicos is one of the Caribbean's top family resorts. The resort is divided into four unique villages: Caribbean, French, Italian, and Seaside, each offering its own atmosphere while giving guests access to the entire property. During my stay, I experienced the Italian Village Family Suite, which sleeps up to six guests and is an incredible option for families who want space, comfort, and convenience. This is a room category I would highly recommend for multi-generational vacations and larger families.
One of the biggest highlights of Beaches is the incredible variety. With more than 20 restaurants offering everything from Italian and seafood to Caribbean, Asian, Mediterranean, and casual beachside dining, there is truly something for everyone. Families can spend their days enjoying the Pirates Island Water Park, multiple pools, snorkeling, water sports, kids clubs, teen activities, nightly entertainment, and the beautiful white sand beach.
During my visit, I also had the unique opportunity to tour the resort's newest addition, Treasure Beach Village, while it was still under construction. Seeing the vision and planning behind this expansion before it opened was an amazing behind-the-scenes experience and gave me even more appreciation for the continued growth of this incredible resort.
What I love most about Beaches Turks & Caicos is that it creates the perfect balance between fun and relaxation. Parents can enjoy a true vacation while kids have endless activities and entertainment designed just for them.
After experiencing Beaches Turks & Caicos firsthand, I can confidently recommend it for families, celebrations, and multi-generational getaways. From the stunning waters of Grace Bay Beach to the incredible dining, accommodations, and activities, this resort truly delivers unforgettable Caribbean memories.

Carnival Sunshine - April 2025
Sometimes the best vacations are the ones that are easy to get to, and that was exactly the goal behind our Carnival Sunshine spring break group cruise. I had the opportunity to organize a group of 20 cabins filled with local travelers who wanted a fun Bahamas getaway without the hassle and expense of flying. Being able to simply drive to the port in Norfolk, step onboard, and begin vacation made this cruise a perfect option for families, friends, and couples looking for a convenient escape.
Carnival Sunshine delivered the fun, energetic atmosphere that Carnival is known for. This 8-day Bahamas itinerary gave guests the chance to relax at sea while visiting beautiful island destinations, including Nassau and other tropical ports, along with plenty of time to enjoy everything the ship has to offer.
One of the biggest advantages of cruising from Norfolk is the convenience. For travelers in the area, avoiding flights, luggage restrictions, and airport stress makes the entire experience easier from the very beginning. Guests were able to arrive close to home, park, and start enjoying their vacation right away.
Onboard, there was something for everyone. Guests enjoyed multiple pools, waterslides, live entertainment, comedy shows, casino fun, shopping, fitness options, kids and teen activities, and plenty of spaces to relax. Carnival Sunshine also offers a wide variety of dining options, from casual favorites like Guy's Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina to specialty dining experiences and classic cruise favorites.
One of my favorite parts of hosting this group was seeing everyone enjoy the experience together while still having the freedom to vacation their own way. Some guests spent their days relaxing by the pool, others explored the ports, and many enjoyed the entertainment and activities onboard. Cruising is such a great option for groups because there is truly something for every personality and age group.
This trip was a great reminder that unforgettable vacations don't always require complicated travel plans. Sometimes the perfect getaway is right in your backyard. A cruise from Norfolk allows travelers to enjoy all the excitement of a Caribbean vacation while keeping the journey simple and stress-free.
After experiencing Carnival Sunshine with this amazing group, I can confidently recommend cruising from Norfolk to anyone looking for an affordable, convenient, and fun-filled vacation. Whether it's a family spring break, a friends' getaway, or a group celebration, Carnival makes it easy to create memories from the moment you step onboard.

NCL Joy review - 5 days - Feb 2025
The best way to understand a cruise experience is to live it yourself, and my time aboard Norwegian Joy gave me an incredible opportunity to do just that. This sailing was part of InteleTravel Quest 2025, an exclusive event where travel advisors come together to learn, connect with suppliers, and gain firsthand knowledge that allows us to better serve our clients.
During this experience, I had the opportunity to stay in The Haven, Norwegian Cruise Line's luxury ship-within-a-ship concept. Experiencing The Haven firsthand gave me valuable insight into the elevated service, privacy, and amenities that make it such a popular choice for travelers looking for a more exclusive cruise experience. From the private Haven restaurant and lounge to the dedicated concierge, butler service, and private sun deck, every detail is designed to provide a more personalized and relaxing vacation.
Beyond The Haven, Norwegian Joy offers something for every type of traveler. The ship features exciting entertainment, Broadway-style shows, live music, a casino, shopping, multiple pools, water slides, a spa, fitness center, and activities for families, couples, and groups. Guests can enjoy the freedom and flexibility Norwegian is known for, with no set dining times and plenty of options to customize their vacation.
The dining experience onboard is another highlight, with a variety of complimentary and specialty restaurants. Guests can enjoy everything from classic favorites and international cuisine to premium dining experiences featuring steak, seafood, Italian dishes, and more. The flexibility of Norwegian's Freestyle Cruising concept allows travelers to dine when and where they choose.
One of the most valuable parts of InteleTravel Quest was the education. Touring the ship, meeting with Norwegian Cruise Line representatives, and experiencing the different cabin categories gave me a deeper understanding of who Norwegian Joy is the perfect fit for. Whether a client is looking for a family vacation, a couples getaway, a group cruise, or a luxury experience in The Haven, firsthand knowledge makes all the difference.
After experiencing Norwegian Joy, I left with a greater appreciation for how Norwegian combines flexibility, entertainment, and elevated options like The Haven to create a cruise experience that can truly be customized. This trip was another reminder of why I value firsthand travel experiences and continue to invest in learning the products I recommend to my clients.

Ambergris Island in Belize - Alaia Belize Resort - April 2022
As an agent, I am always on the hunt for the best beach vacation for my clients. I was offered to visit the brand new Alaia Belize resort on the island of Ambergris and was not disappointed. The property was beautiful! The only issue (as is with most islands right now) was the sargassum seaweed. We were unable to swim at the hotel beach, but found what the locals call "Secret Beach" and found the most heavely beautiful blue water. We rented a golf cart for the few days we were there to enjoy touring around the island and seeing some stunning sunsets.
During my visit to Ambergris Island in Belize, I was amazed by the stunning beauty of the island. The crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches were breathtaking. I also enjoyed exploring the local culture and trying out the delicious seafood cuisine. The island offers a variety of water activities, such as snorkeling and scuba diving, which allowed me to witness the vibrant marine life up close. Overall, my experience on Ambergris Island was unforgettable and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tropical getaway.

Disney Cruise Line out of Port Orlando - July 2022
Disney Cruise Line offers a magical and unforgettable experience for families and Disney fans alike. The ships are beautifully designed and offer a wide range of activities, entertainment, and dining options. The kids' clubs are top-notch, giving parents a chance to relax while their children are entertained by Disney-trained counselors. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. The onboard entertainment includes Broadway-style shows, character meet-and-greets, and first-run Disney movies.
My favorite part of the Disney Cruise was, well, EVERYTHING! It is by far my most favorite cruise line for kids and adults. There is an adult only section to enjoy while the kids are in the largest playroom on an cruise ship I've ever seen. Disney is known for their customer service, but it was extremely exceptional in my opinion. Every little detail, from the towel animals, little chocolates left on the pillows, to the staff remembering everyones name at dinner. The food was to die for, as well as the drinks. It was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend the Disney Cruise line for all families to try at least once!

Carnival Cruise Line out of Charleston port - April 2022
The Carnival Cruise Line to the Bahamas is a popular choice for many travelers. The ship offers a variety of activities and amenities, including multiple pools, a water park, and a casino. The dining options are plentiful, with both casual and formal restaurants available. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making for a pleasant experience. I went with two of my kids and my Mom and we all fit into one cabin comfortably (two twin beds and bunk beds for the kids in a balcony stateroom).
We have been to the Bahamas several times so we decided when we arrived to Nassau, we would get a day pass to Margaritaville. It was the best decision because they have a restaurant on site and a water park! The kids loved it.
Overall, the Carnival Cruise Line to the Bahamas is a great option for those looking for a fun and relaxing vacation.

Chicago review - December 2024
Visiting Chicago for the first time during the holiday season was an unforgettable experience! The city transforms into a winter wonderland, filled with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and that classic Midwest charm.
My trip began with a visit to the Christkindlmarket, Chicago's iconic European-inspired Christmas market. Strolling through the charming wooden stalls filled with handcrafted ornaments, warm pretzels, and steaming mugs of glühwein was like stepping into a holiday postcard. The atmosphere was magical, and it’s a must-do for anyone visiting during this time of year.
Of course, I couldn’t miss The Bean (Cloud Gate) in Millennium Park, surrounded by the sparkling downtown skyline. The area was beautifully lit for Christmas, complete with a giant tree and a picturesque ice-skating rink nearby. Watching skaters glide under the festive lights while holiday music played was the perfect way to soak in the holiday spirit.
One of the highlights of my trip was a full-day tour of movie locations from John Hughes’ iconic films. As a fan of his work, it was thrilling to see the Sixteen Candles house, the Home Alone house in Winnetka, and even the famous staircase from The Breakfast Club. The tour also included stops at locations from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, like the Art Institute of Chicago and other memorable spots. It was like stepping into the movies and reliving my favorite scenes!
Chicago is also a food lover’s paradise, and I had the chance to try some incredible restaurants. Whether it was deep-dish pizza, gourmet burgers, or fine dining with a view of the skyline, every meal was a treat. The city’s culinary scene is as diverse as it is delicious, making it a highlight of the trip.
Beyond the sights and food, what struck me most about Chicago was its beauty and vibrancy. From the holiday lights lining Michigan Avenue to the warmth of the people, the city felt welcoming and alive with holiday cheer.
If you’re looking for a destination to make your holiday season even more special, Chicago should be at the top of your list. Between the festive atmosphere, iconic landmarks, and unique experiences like the John Hughes movie tour, this trip was an incredible way to kick off the season—and I can’t wait to go back!

Cancun Mexico review - October 2024
I recently traveled to Cancun, Mexico, for the ALG Ascend Conference, and it was an unforgettable mix of professional growth, fun, and relaxation. The conference was packed with opportunities to learn and grow as a travel agent, from insightful classes to networking with vendors. But what really made the trip special were the incredible accommodations, unique experiences, and some unforgettable dining.
For the conference, I stayed at the Breathless Cancun Soul Resort, an adults-only paradise. While the beach may not have been the standout feature, the resort more than made up for it with its luxurious pools, exclusive VIP areas, and outstanding dining options. Every meal felt like a treat, and the lively atmosphere made it easy to transition from productive conference sessions to fun parties and activities in the evenings.
One of the most memorable experiences was dining at Kin Toh, where I had the chance to enjoy dinner literally in the treetops. Nestled in nest-like tables perched high above the restaurant, the ambiance was magical, and the creative cuisine made it a truly extraordinary experience. It felt like stepping into a dream, and it’s something I’d recommend to anyone visiting the area.
After the conference, I headed to the Riviera Maya for some much-needed downtime at the Barceló Riviera Maya, another stunning adults-only resort. The lush surroundings, gorgeous pools, and delectable restaurants made it the perfect place to unwind after a busy travel season. The highlight of my stay here was the spa—truly a haven of tranquility. From rejuvenating treatments to serene relaxation areas, it was exactly what I needed to recharge.
I also took time to visit a local cenote, where I swam in the crystal-clear waters surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. It was an awe-inspiring experience and a reminder of the unique wonders that Mexico has to offer.
Overall, this trip was the perfect balance of work and leisure. Cancun and Riviera Maya offered incredible opportunities for professional development, luxurious accommodations, and moments of relaxation and wonder. Whether you’re attending a conference, planning a getaway, or looking for both, these destinations are sure to deliver an unforgettable experience!

New Orleans review - September 2024
I recently traveled to New Orleans for a work trip and discovered that the Big Easy is the perfect destination to mix business with pleasure. From the lively streets to the incredible food and music, every moment in this vibrant city felt like a celebration of life!
In my downtime, I made the most of exploring what New Orleans has to offer. No trip to NOLA is complete without a visit to Bourbon Street. The energy was contagious as live music poured out from every corner, and I couldn’t help but join in the fun. Whether you’re into jazz, blues, or just people-watching, there’s something magical about the atmosphere here.
The food in New Orleans is in a league of its own, and I had to try their famous oysters. Whether charbroiled or raw, they were absolutely delicious and lived up to the hype. I also indulged in other local delicacies like gumbo and beignets that I’ll be dreaming about for months.
One of the most memorable experiences was joining a second line parade. Dancing alongside brass bands and other revelers through the streets was pure joy—it felt like I’d stepped into the heart of the city’s soul. The second line is such a quintessential New Orleans tradition, and being a part of it was truly unforgettable.
I also got the chance to visit Mardi Gras World, where the magic of Carnival comes to life year-round. Touring the workshop where the iconic floats are created gave me a new appreciation for the artistry and effort that go into the celebration. It was fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes process and learn about the rich history of Mardi Gras.
Even with a packed work schedule, New Orleans offered so much to explore, and every experience felt like a mini adventure. The mix of history, culture, music, and food makes this city unlike any other. Whether you’re visiting for work, pleasure, or both, New Orleans is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.

Boston review - July 2024
This summer, I traveled to Boston to drop my son off at Berklee College of Music for a week-long summer camp, and I decided to stay and explore the city while he immersed himself in his musical passion. Boston turned out to be the ideal mix of history, charm, and great food—it was a trip I’ll never forget!
The city’s rich history was on full display as I visited iconic spots like the Freedom Trail, where I strolled past landmarks such as the Paul Revere House, Old North Church, and the site of the Boston Massacre. I also spent time at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, where interactive exhibits and costumed reenactments brought history to life.
One afternoon, I wandered through the beautiful Boston Common and Public Garden, enjoying the serene swan boats and the lively atmosphere. Later, I made my way to Beacon Hill, with its picturesque cobblestone streets and charming brick townhouses, for some leisurely exploration and great photo opportunities.
A highlight of my trip was having lunch at Cheers, the iconic bar that inspired the beloved TV show. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food hit the spot—it’s a must-visit for fans of the series or anyone looking for a fun dining experience. And then topped it off with a Boston Red Sox Game!
We also did the Duck boat tour which was so fun seeing the city from the water. The Harvard Square area in nearby Cambridge was another gem, where I enjoyed browsing the quirky shops and grabbing a coffee while soaking in the academic vibes of Harvard University.
Boston’s compact layout made it easy to navigate, whether by walking or using the T, the city’s subway system. Everywhere I went, I found something to admire, whether it was the historical sites, the vibrant neighborhoods, or the incredible dining options.
This trip was a memorable mix of learning, relaxation, and adventure. Dropping my son off at Berklee College of Music gave me the perfect excuse to explore one of America’s most historic cities, and I left feeling enriched and inspired. If you’re looking for a destination that combines culture, history, and fun, Boston is the place to go!

Las Vegas review - June 2024
Who says Las Vegas is just for adults? Our recent family trip to the Entertainment Capital of the World proved that Vegas is packed with activities the whole family can enjoy. From exciting shows to unique attractions, there was never a dull moment, and my kids are already asking when we can go back!
We packed so much into our trip, starting with some incredible performances. The Blue Man Group had the kids laughing and captivated with their colorful antics and percussion-heavy show. The Jabbawockeez delivered an electrifying dance performance that had us all mesmerized. We even saw a BattleBots match, which was a thrilling and action-packed experience.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting The Sphere. This stunning new attraction blew us away with its cutting-edge visuals and immersive show—it’s truly like stepping into another world. Another unforgettable moment was riding the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel, which gave us breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond.
Dining in Las Vegas was another pleasant surprise. We found plenty of kid-friendly restaurants that served up fun vibes and delicious food. Whether it was pizza, burgers, or unique desserts, there was something to please even the pickiest eaters.
We also discovered a hidden gem that became the kids’ favorite: FlyOver Las Vegas. This exhilarating flight simulation took us soaring over the stunning landscapes of Iceland. The experience was so breathtaking that it’s inspired us to consider Iceland as our next family destination!
While we walked a lot to explore all that Vegas has to offer, the sights and attractions kept the kids entertained every step of the way. From colorful street performances to exploring themed hotels, there was always something new and exciting to see.

San Diego & Disneyland review - April 2024:
A perfect family getaway!
Recently, my family and I enjoyed a fantastic trip to Southern California, starting with a direct flight from Norfolk (ORF) to San Diego (SAN) on Breeze Airways. The convenience of a non-stop flight cannot be overstated, especially when traveling with children. Breeze made it easy and stress-free, allowing us to arrive rested and ready to explore.
We stayed for a week at the Hyatt Vacation Club in Escondido, where our spacious two-bedroom condo became the perfect home base. The accommodations were comfortable, family-friendly, and included all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay.
Our trip was packed with activities that appealed to every member of the family. We embarked on an unforgettable whale-watching tour, where the kids were thrilled to spot dolphins and even a few whales. Exploring the charming Old Town San Diego provided a taste of the region’s history, culture, and incredible food. Of course, we couldn’t miss the beautiful beaches, where the kids enjoyed building sandcastles and splashing in the Pacific Ocean. And topped it off with a visit to the San Diego Wild Life Animal Park.
One of the highlights of our trip was a day at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. It was a long, exciting day—over 20,000 steps! But every moment was worth it. From classics like It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean to more thrilling rides like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and Radiator Springs Racers, there was something for everyone. Watching the kids’ faces light up at the parades and fireworks made all the walking worthwhile.
Overall, this trip was easy to plan and even easier to enjoy. Breeze Airways’ direct flight simplified our travel, and the variety of activities in and around Escondido ensured there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this trip for families looking for a mix of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.

MSC Meraviglia review - June 2023:
My recent cruise to the Bahamas was an absolute dream on the MSC cruise line. This new ship out of the Brooklyn Port was incredibly luxurious with spacious cabins and plenty of amenities to keep us entertained throughout the journey. Hands down this cruise ship had the best entertainment I’ve experienced so far on any cruise line. There was always something to do! From the restaurants, the Broadway shows, the cirque shows, the evening dance parties including the White party and snow parties, it was a whirlwind!
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that all our needs were met. The highlight of the trip was definitely the beautiful beaches in the Bahamas with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. Ocean Cay, the MSC private island didn’t disappoint! Beautiful beaches and the best thing was staying there until the sun went down for the beach DJ party!
My only complaint was the lack of variety of the food. It could use some improvement but the pizza was the best pizza I’ve ever had (seriously, this is an Italian cruise line and they knew how to make it!).
Overall, it was a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation with family or friends.

Royal Caribbean Cruise out of Port Orlando - April 2023
The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's Freedom of the Seas offers an excellent vacation option for travelers looking to explore the Bahamas. The ship boasts numerous amenities such as a rock-climbing wall, multiple pools and hot tubs, and a variety of dining options. The staterooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The ports of call in the Bahamas provide ample opportunities for adventure, whether it be lounging on pristine beaches or exploring local culture and history.
We traveled with a few other families and really enjoyed the amenities on board. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time so we spent most of the cruise indoors, but they did offer enough entertainment for the adults and kids on board. My only issue is that they still allow smoking in the casino and it permeates to the entire floor and its not fun to walk through when going to the other side of the ship. The food was good, not memorable. Castaway Cay was a beautiful island but it rained so we didn't get to enjoy it as much. I do recommend this particular ship for the budget conscious families who want to experience a fun and easy 4 night cruise to the Bahamas.

ETS Tours review - 8 days in Jordan - January 2023
After a long 24 hour travel day, we landed in Jordan and we were met at the airport by the staff of EF Tours which took us to the hotel via motor coach. All dinners (and breakfasts) were included so we changed and went to the hotel restaurant to dine and meet the others attending the tour group. What a great bunch to tour with! We enjoyed the food and spent the next several days traveling together and sharing a wonderful adventure.
During my visit to Jordan, I was amazed by the country's rich history and stunning landscapes. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the ancient city of Petra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city was carved into pink sandstone cliffs and features impressive tombs, temples, and a theater. I also enjoyed exploring the Wadi Rum desert, which is known for its unique red sandstone formations and was the filming location for several famous movies. Additionally, I had the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea, which is the lowest point on earth and known for its therapeutic properties. Overall, my trip to Jordan was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in history, culture, and natural beauty.
